Gilbert- Well everyday I go outside to show my face. I want the sunshine to take my place, but me oh my what a struggle I make. Go back inside then I do it again and feel the day begin. That's how I take it all in.
Oh Great Divine you know I struggle to hold the line, and all I ask is you ease my mind or give me comfort and show me a sign. Cause I've been searching with dilated eyes and crying all the time. Feels like I'm losing my mind.
Reality. I try to keep it all away from me, and that's unhealthy and it's not what I need. I need a sunny sky and the trees of green to keep me grounded when I'm pushed by the wind or feel it from within. That's how I take it all in.
Man in gas station- "Hahahaha! You look like that kid played on um barn-ba-barney- um um - um... I'm talking 'bout um...He look like that little kid that played on the Andy Griffith show. Hahahahaha!"
Gilbert- "Opie? Haha
Man in gas station- "Opie haha 'Opie come in the house! Mommy I'm playing with my cricket out here.' Hahahaha!"
Narrator- Ah yes, how poetic... and bittersweet if you ask me. Gilbert seems to begin expressing sentiments towards soaking in all that life has to offer, the sunshine and the hard times, and even the small things like being confused for Opie Taylor from the Andy Griffith show by the man in the gas station. But his next realization may just be his biggest insight yet, lets tune back in to see what's on Gilbert's mind.
